ProxyMap ("we", "us", "our") operates the platform available at proxymap.tech. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: email, username, display name, age, profile photos you choose to upload.
• Location data: approximate geolocation you grant to use the map feature.
• Verification data: selfie and identity documents submitted for verification (retained only as long as required for trust & safety).
• Usage data: pages viewed, features used, device type, approximate IP region — used for analytics and abuse prevention.
• Payment data: when you purchase platform credits, payment details are handled by our processor (Stripe). We never store full card numbers.

2. How we use your information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Match you with members and events relevant to your location and preferences.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud, abuse, and illegal content.
• Send you essential service notifications (account, payment, security).

3. What we never do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not run third-party ad trackers.
• We do not share your messages with any party except as required by law.

4. Data sharing

We only share data with: (a) service providers strictly needed to operate the product (hosting, payment processing, email delivery); (b) law enforcement when legally compelled; (c) a future acquirer in case of merger, with prior notice.

5. Your rights

• Access, correct, or export your data from Settings.
• Delete your account permanently — we remove your profile and messages within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.

If you are a resident of the EU, UK, California, or Mexico, you have additional statutory rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and LFPDPPP respectively. Contact us to exercise them.

6. Retention

We retain account data while your account is active, and for up to 30 days after deletion to allow recovery. Some anonymized aggregates may be kept longer for analytics. Verification documents are retained only as required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Messages and media are end-to-end encrypted. We regularly audit our infrastructure and limit employee access to user data.
